Gurnerman ("we", "us") runs gurnerman.co.uk, including CoinHawk and the Gurnerman Games arcade. We don't run ads, we don't use analytics or tracking scripts, and we don't sell, share or misuse your data. This page explains what gets collected across the site and covers the intellectual property rules for its content. Most areas of the site collect nothing at all.

Being upfront about AI

Gurnerman is a one-person operation, and I want to be honest about where I've used AI. It has helped with some of the creative coding behind this website, including animating parts of the site. I've also used it to help fix and test my rough game code. The first-person shooter is the biggest exception: AI was used to build the entire game.

All my drawings, logos and drawn visual assets are handcrafted by me, with no AI assistance. That includes the artwork used in the games.

I wanted to avoid using AI everywhere, but I've used it in places where I don't yet have the skills or qualifications to do everything myself. Outside the first-person shooter, that use has been limited. I'm learning how the site works quickly, and I hope to replace the AI-assisted code with my own work and remove all AI usage from the site before the end of 2026. That's something I'm working towards, rather than something I've already achieved.

CoinHawk

CoinHawk is built to run entirely in your browser. Anything you enter, including figures in the money tools, watchlists and settings, stays in your browser's local storage on your own device. We don't run accounts, logins, analytics or ad trackers on CoinHawk, and nothing you enter is sent to us or stored on our servers.

To show live prices and company logos, CoinHawk's pages make requests directly from your browser to the market-data providers and to the Hunter Logo API for logos. Those providers receive standard technical information such as your IP address so they can return the data, but we don't see or store that information ourselves. They operate under their own privacy policies.

Gurnerman Games arcade

Most games, including GSA: Lost In Space and Gurnerman's Night Watch, save your progress only in your browser's local storage without sending it to us.

Three arcade titles have a public leaderboard: Flappy Fred, Gurnerman's Breakout and Mary Chufferson's Allied Assault. When you submit a score, we store a display name (whatever you type, or "Anon" if you leave it blank), the score itself and a timestamp on our server, so the leaderboard can be shown to other players. We don't ask for or collect an email address, account or any other personal information to do this, and you can choose any display name without using your real one.

If you'd like a leaderboard entry removed, email us at info@gurnerman.co.uk with the game, the name shown and roughly when you set the score.

YouTube

The YouTube page embeds videos directly from youtube.com. Loading or playing an embedded video is the same as visiting YouTube directly: Google may set its own cookies and collect data about that interaction under its own privacy policy, which is outside our control. If you'd rather not have that happen, avoid playing the embedded videos. The "Open channel" and "Subscribe" buttons also take you directly to YouTube.

Server logs

Our hosting provider's web server automatically logs basic technical information, including your IP address, browser type and the page requested, for security and to keep the site running. We don't use these logs for tracking, profiling or advertising, and we don't sell or share them.

Cookies and third-party fonts

We don't set our own tracking or advertising cookies anywhere on the site. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts; loading a font, like loading an image, means your browser makes a direct request to Google's servers, which can see that a request was made. This is a technical necessity of using a hosted font, not tracking on our part.

No ads, no analytics, no selling data

We don't run advertising on this site, we don't use analytics or tracking scripts, and we don't sell or share data with anyone for marketing purposes.

Parental warning

Although this site features cartoon characters and illustrations, its content is strictly adult-themed and intended for adults only. The cartoon elements do not mean it is suitable for children.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you (in practice, this will usually just be a leaderboard entry) and ask us to delete it, by emailing info@gurnerman.co.uk, or using the deletion request form below.

Data deletion request form

If you believe any of your personal data is stored on this site and would like it removed, please fill out the form below. The team will action your request within 30 days.

If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
